Long Description:
Photograph was published in the Boston Globe on Monday, October 5, 1903. Shows fans on the field before game three on October 3, 1903. The fans had broken through a rope barrier designed to keep the standing room crowd deep in the outfield and are seen ringing the infield. Police wielding bats and rubber hoses beat the crowd back.
