Capt. Jonathan Oliphant

on of David Oliphant (1713-1774) and Ann Lee (b. 1719) and grandson of pioneer NY-NJ settler, Duncan Oliphant. In 1764, he married Mary Shinn in Upper Evesham, NJ. Jonathan was a captain in the Revolution. Like his father, he was a miller. Children: Shinn; Ann; Hannah; Martha; Wm.; Hope; and David.
