illiam Henry Menz was awarded a silver congressional medal at Standing Rock for Lakota Code talker 2013 for his service in World War I. Born to a full blood Dakota mother "Agnes" Obosawin (Misty rain falls upon her" and German immigrant George P. Menz. He one of eleven children born to two indian wives. Obosawin's children were Annie Scholastica Menz-Hodgkinson, George Benedict Menz, Emma Mildred Menz, Joseph Menz, Frank Menz, Henry Menz, Mary Menz, Edward Menz. Tanyanlinajin's children were Katie and Thomas Mentz.
