They are buried in Fairview Cemetery, Fairbury, IL. In 1870 David and Laura are listed in Bourbon County, Kansas, David is a farmer with $1700 worth of Real Estate. They are also there for the State census in 1875. David and Laura are next found at Fremont County, Colorado in the 1880 and 1900 census. In the 1880 Census David lists his occupation as “Dealer in fruits and confectionaries”. In the 1900 census Laura states that she has never had children. They are in Boise, Ada County, Idaho in the 1910 census. David dies in Ada County, Idaho 19 Aug 1915. His death certificate estimates his age as 82 and gives his occupation as “Veteran Civil War”. The informant was not David’s wife but E G Burnetts, address: Soldier’s Home. Cause of death: Senility. Laura died 29 Apr 1925 in Bingham County Idaho. The informant on her death certificate was R. W. Stevens, Clerk, Idaho Insane Asylum stating Laura was in the asylum for 11 years, 10 months, 13 days.
