A Mont Brent was a very important soldier during the 1860’s. He best recognized by his bravery and hard work in the Civil War.He fought on the Confederate side and was listed as being from Virginia in the 6th Cavalry.The cause of his death is still unknown but he was killed at Brandy Station. His bravery and courage led the civil war battles to several victories.Most of A Mont Brent 1860 census consisted of him residing in Salem with Captain Dulany. Most of his family records were not obtained by anyone.

A Mont Brent was a brave soldier who was an American Civil War regiment that fought during most of the battles during the civil war and led them to victories during the 1860’s time period. Most of the information that was found was about the wars he took place in, where he resided or his death records. The records show A Mont Brent’s participation in some of the civil war battles. A Mont Brent was a 6th Virginia Cavalry whose card numbers were :50795951, 6041, 6156, 6280, 52215768. He was also listed as a private Confederate. He originally started in the Company Muster roll on March 1st, 1862 in Salem by Captain Dulany. He was later enlisted for war period by Captain Dulany and was paid by Captain Carter till December 31, 1862. After fighting in the Civil War at last A Mont Brent was deceased on June 9, 1863 at Brandy Station. The cause of his death was not mentioned anywhere but the location was the only detail that was mentioned.

The Civil War was a crucial time period lasting from 1861-1865. It was and still is considered to be America's bloodiest clash between the Confederate and the Union side. The American Civil War basically began when the Confederate side bombarded the Union Soldiers at Ft Sumter South Carolina on April 12, 1861. It started because of the uncompromising differences between the slave and free states over the power and authority of the national government to prohibit slavery. Some of the wars he took place in were Battle of Brandy Station etc. Most of the Battles that A Mont Brent took place in were in Virginia. Sadly A Mont Brent was killed at the Battle of Brandy Station. For the battle of Brandy Station Jeb Stuart was the Confederate States Army General during the American Civil War.The American Civil war was a tragic event that killed many brave American Soldiers.
