obert McDowell was the father of William McDowell, Phoeby Gertrude McDowell and Elizabeth Caroline McDowell. Robert McDowell was in Georgia by 1830 and in Jackson County, where his daughter Elizabeth Caroline McDowell married John Boyle. Another daughter, Phoeby Gertrude McDowell, married James Neal Boyle in the same county. In 1840, Robert McDowell was in Cobb County, Georgia, along with his son, William McDowell. Phoeby G McDowell Boyle and her husband and children moved to East Cobb County and lived in a large house on Sandy Plains Road. To be continued
