My aunt was an extrodinary woman in her own unique way. She was simple in her faith and her love and I am grateful for the many years she was a part of my life. My aunt loved her family, her dogs and watching the stars on dark nights….. oh .. and Elvis Presley.

Elvis was a part of our lives. My aunt took me to see every single movie he ever made at least once if not more. Her home was full of small momentos, magazine articles, photos, records and postcards celebrating the "king" of Rock n Roll.

This past year my aunt suddenly became ill and I rushed to her bedside. I could only think to sing to her "Love me Tender". At my aunts funeral we played Elvis along with "Happy Trails". I always knew my aunt loved Elvis but it was when I looked through her Bible I truely understood how much, for listed in the family births under the names of her parents, brothers, sisters and my own was the name "Elvis Presly".

I will never hear her voice again, nor recieve any more of her handwritten stories on the holidays but I will always have the memory of her love and I am grateful,
