Left Blister Gunner, Boeing B-29-80-BW (Boeing Wichita) Superfortress serial #44-70116, nicknamed "Sharon Linn", crew 24-06, tail code Circle-R-03, 24th Bomber Squadron, 6th Bombardment Group (VH), 313th Bomb Wing, XXI Bomber Command, 20th Air Force, USAAF, North Field on Tinian in the Mariana Islands, Pacific Theatre of Operations (PTO).

Capt. G.P. Jordan aircrew, Target Minning in Niigata harbor. While over the target area at an altitude of 7,000' was hit by anti-aircraft-artillery (AAA) fire near Niitsu. The entire crew bailed out approximately 5-10 miles southeast of Niigata. Their B-29 crashed at the bend of the Agano River in an area known as Yakeyama.
