Served on HMS Diana between 1908 and 1910 in Somaliland for which he received the Africa General Service Medal. Parent: Mr H B Firman, J.P., of Gateforth Lodge, Coombe Hill, New Malden, Surrey. I.C. No. 36/959. Second Class Cruiser, 5,600 tons, 350x 53.5x 20.5 ft, 5-6in QF ,6-4.7in QF, 8-12pdrQF, 2 x machine guns 3x18in torpedo tubes. Built by Fairfield and Launched on 5th dec 1895.
